The Caen Memorial
Inaugurated in 1988 and enlarged in 2002, the Caen Memorial is one of the most famous museums devoted to the history of the 20th century. It is also one of the most visited French museums outside the Île-de-France region.

The Caen Memorial also hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Until 31 December, you can discover the exhibition "Années Pop, années choc (1960-1975)". After your visit inside, don't miss the Memorial Park and its various Gardens of Remembrance, dedicated to the memory of the Resistance fighters and soldiers who died in Normandy. These include the American Garden, the Canadian Garden and the British Garden.
You can even grab a bite to eat at the Bistrot du Mémorial, where sandwiches, salads and daily specials await you.
