The D-Day Festival diary
Since 2007, the D-Day Festival has been offering visitors and residents a wide range of events to mark the anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy. The year 2024 is a special one, as it marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Join us on 1 June for the official launch of the D-Day Festival. To mark the occasion, around twenty fireworks displays will be launched simultaneously on the D-Day landing beaches. Spectacle guaranteed!
Another highlight on 6 June 2024: the international ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, at Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer (near Omaha Beach).
Over the course of the fortnight, there will also be a hundred or so events for young and old alike:
