Your KYRIAD CAEN-CENTRE hotel was
born on the 3rd or May 2004 ! But
it simply took the place of a most
ancient hotel of the city of CAEN,
known since 1794 …
After the Allied bombing of 1944,
the " Grand Hôtel of
the Royal Square " (already
become just " Hôtel
Royal ") left behind, as
a reminder of its past, only an exterior
crown sign that you can still admire
nowadays …but inside!
On
some of the most important touristic
guides, hundred-year-old now, from
their very first edition, the
ancient " Grand Hôtel
" still tells the story of
its time through a private collection
of engravings, old post-cards and
maps of the city of CAEN as it was
a long time ago…
